Personal History:
Born and raised in Wexford city, on the industrial colony of Tauron, James had seen it all and done it all by the time he was 18. Bored with city life, he was attracted by the colonial military's recruitment posters and decided to sign up to train as a viper pilot. Unfortunately, it didn't take him long to see how misleading the posters were, and to long for his civilian life back on Tauron.
However, after the first long year in the academy (when most others abandoned their training) he made a promise to himself that he would see it through to the end.
And that he did.
Career History (or Service History):
First posting was aboard the defender Victoria, used as a training ship for academy graduates. All Graff remembers from this period are the almost nightly alert drills.
Next he was transferred to the defender Odysseus, where he had his first taste of real combat.
2 years later and a rank higher, Graff moved to the Battlestar Ares. His stay was a short one however, due to charges of drunk and disorderly and striking a superior officer being brough against him. To this day he claims he remembers nothing.
Demoted and transferred to a station near Picon for patrol duty, he strives to get back aboard a Battlestar. After years of hard work, his CO finally approves his request and transfers Graff to the newly built Battlestar Rhea.
Goals and Ambitions:
To move up the ranks and eventually leave the service with a general discharge.
